My 8 year old was playing with my phone/taking random pictures. I found these in my camera roll. What a surprise among the other pictures of the back of my head. Enjoy.

I think the grill looks much better on this car because of the lines on the convertible versus the coupe

Today I had a chance to see the new body style in person. It looks great until you get to the front. The grill doesn't flow with the design. Touching the grill it feels all plastic and very flimsy.

Edited post as I rant to say the grill doesn't flow

The grill is something you need to see in person. I didn't think i would like the new 4 but it's grown on me a lot

Honestly that's what I thought. I saw it at my dealer two weeks ago while I was in for a service, still didn't like it. Don't think it'll grow on me at this point. Oh well, I'll just be one more on this side of the fence.

I'm not a fan of convertibles either, but I've honestly been looking at them for my wife who does. I'm thinking of surprising her with an upgrade to her IS350 with a Z4 M40i, but this hmmm 🤔.

And I honestly don't mind the grill on the 4 series that much.

Love it or hate it, you can say it looks like nothing else on the road and I think that was BMW’s goal.

It isn't actually flimsy, but...why does it matter how a grille feels in person? It isn't a part of a car you actually interact with.

Have you felt the grilles of a Lexus, Audi, or MB? They're all plastic because they don't need to be anything else. In fact, I'd bet making them out of any kind of metal, resulting in them being more "sturdy," would cause them to fare poorly in pedestrian impacts.

Back on topic, this is really odd seeing one in person, completely uncovered, with exposed badges everywhere. It isn't due to be released for some time and they're always covered in some way before then.

Probably some lame YouTube reviewers who were given access to the car

I have seen two in the last couple of days and I am in Glen Allen VA. They really look good in person and both were without plates on the front. VA is one of the states that ticket you for it but I imagine they don't care. I would do the same.

Nice, I think this looks nicer than the coupe. Still not a fan of the grill on the new 4 series though. It's definitely growing on me on the new M3/M4, but it looks out of place on the M440i and 430i.

LA's got a lot of problems, but the vibes are something else. Makes you never want to leave.
