Battery Malfunction
Hi guys,
I have a problem that recently popped up on my car, after thorough research of the forums, I found no conclusive answer as to what this could be caused by. There is an indicator in the dash (Not the CEL, just a little "i" towards the bottom middle of the dash) that displays a Battery Malfunction. When I click into it, it says Check Control, and underneath that, "Power Supply". It also says comfort functions will be partially limited (No clue what this means). As far as I am concerned, this is persistent and has been for about a week now. However, the car still drives. I am not experiencing any Electronic failures besides my lower radiator shutter not opening and closing properly, which I think has to do with snow or ice since we just got hit by a couple of snowstorms this year. I have called the dealership and booked in an appointment to figure out what's wrong, but if anyone here has any experience with this problem, please let me know what the issue could be. |

Since this post the indicator has gone away. I have no idea how it went away but I hope it stays this way.
If it comes back I will be sure to update this thread. |

I had something similar happen once. I think it was because of my dash cam. I had some stuff on the wind shield that kept my dash cam on all the time and that probably drained the battery. But it went away after I drove around.

Good evening,
My wife has a 2020 g20 and has been reliable for the most part. I recently got an error message that states battery malfunction. I pulled the codes and got 804415 - Radio remote control: Battery undervoltage 030DA1 -Lithium ion battery: Communication falure in power management system CB8C18- LN communication (dual memory) Missing I can’t seem to figure out what’s causing it? 2nd battery? Needs to be reprogrammed? Any help would be appreciated thanks! |

Just hook up the front battery to a trickle charger overnight and it should all go away. |
