I have the HK sound system and noticed random pops from the speakers. Not sure if it’s just a CarPlay issue or a hardware issue.

I've noticed it sometimes when the system 'wakes' from a deep sleep, if those are the pops you are talking about.

+1 i have this aswell.. on radio, spotify app, bluetooth audio. random bass cutoffs etc.. its getting pretty annoying at this point.. only had the car for a month.. 330e touring with hk sound.
havnt tried carplay yet, but i dont want it.

it feels sometimes like a glitch connection or something. during accelerations or hard breaks or turns.. but it might be imaginary related..

im gonna bring it up with my contact at bmw.. "BMW product genius" is his title, so hopefully he knows whats up

It just sounds like a bad audio connection, and the pops are like interference. Almost like someone gently tapping on a microphone.

I got reply back from dealer and was asked to schedule a checkup.
I might do that as its a company lease(should go under warranty aswell i guess).

This could be the bad amp issue. There are a few threads with H/K audio bass issue. However, when I had the issue I also had crackle noises from speakers in addition to bass loss. Does your bass cutoff as well?

Yes, it’s more rare but I do occasionally lose bass. Was yours fixed?

Yes. Changing amp fixed it.

great news! this might get me to have it checked sooner i have both pops/crackles and bass loss at short moments..

once it just cut bass off completely.. after playing very loud.. it came back after i had the car shut down for an hour or so..

I have the same problem in my Mexican-built M340i. It pops, then the subwoofers go mute for a couple seconds, then it pops again and all goes back to normal. It's very irritating. I'll print this thread and bring it to the dealer. It looks like it's a widespread defect in the amplifier.

Agreeing about the amp. please let us know what you find out! I will also have it checked up shortly at the dealer once holidays are over etc..

I had that shitty base problem as well mainly coming from the speaker on the front dash ... even when I sped up it would just vibrate like it's blown... I ended up installing 2 12 jbls in the back and don't use the actual base or amp of the car anymore and it is amazing ... let's hope it doesn't drain my battery like crazy like the e90 m3

Did you use a high low converter for the amp?

I hear random Pops from time to time. Not really a big issue for me. It sounds like the speaker popping out. Gone right now. But it did pop once and then goes away and then comes back days later. I learn to live with it. Its a soft pop anyway.

Are they aware and just changed the Amp? It's been two months and I have tried to ignore the pops and rare little cuts of bass, but now it's starting to get annoying.
