Forgetting phone on Wireless charging pad
Now, this has happened multiple times and is annoying. I keep the phone on the wireless charging pad, after switching off the car I tend to forget to take it. I go to my room and then realize that I forgot the phone, Then I have to come all the way down 6 floors to go to the parking to take the phone.
Is there any setting / can be coded to flash some light or sound if you forget your phone on the charging pad after you lock the car. Is there any setting in I drive which can help?I know there is a setting in I drive but that doesn't help. With that reminder setting the message is very small in-dash and comes when you open the gate next time after locking, The text is really small and is not of much help. It would be great for that reminder to come immediately after via sound or light after you lock the car. What can be done here?

I get a chime sound and a visual reminder whenever I turn the car off, open the door and have the phone sitting in the wireless charge pad. If I recall there is just a setting to turn the reminder on and off in the idrive and nothing seperate for the chime. Not sure why you are not getting the sound notification.

Yes, it's under the Notifications menu (at least in iD7). I get a chime and a message in the instrument panel if I open the driver's door while the phone's on the charger.

Probably one or two more times of running up and down 6 flights and you won't do it again.

In a car that can chime for many reasons, I've ignored the alert a few times when exiting and forgotten my phone. Now I don't. Perhaps a different or louder chime would solve that.
