BMW X3 30e - new facelift

Hi all,

Anyone in here who would know if it likely that BMW will install a battery with more density than the current 12 kWh that is in the 2021 when they do the 2022 facelift anyway?

If so when to expect that mode released?

Thanks

This might be highly likely as of 2022 in Germany a plug in hybrid needs to have a pure electric range of 60km to get the government sales bonus.

With the current range of max 50km it would render the X3 a unsellable car within the competition.

Very interesting, thanks a lot for your reply Ravenous666.

Do you by any chance have an idea about the launch time for this upgraded model?

I think the 21 models came out this year in late July/early August (in the US)

No!

The new Modelyear starts September of the previous year.

So modelyear 2022 will be build from September 2021 on and will most likely be LCIs.
