Well at delivery time the BMW Genius said... Never seen this before but I notice it the first time I ever seen an under the wood BMW

Right behind the LED Light Assembly. Air Cooling tunnel?

That's where you manually adjust the headlight level. You can do it with a really long philips screwdriver.

It's just a plastik part that is used during installation and for headlight adjustment.

Spare parts catalogue calls it "Guide" because it guides your adjustent tool to the screw which is down below.

I think the earlier folks got the real purpose...headlight adjustment guide...
