12v socket under glovebox?

My F36 has a 12v socket under the glovebox which makes it convenient to plug in my dash cam. Is there one in the G20?

I'm suspecting there isn't, and if there isn't one there, what is the neatest way of powering a dash cam? I don't want it plugged into the centre console.

I had to buy an extra long lead and run mine into the rear cigarette lighter. Not ideal, but most of the cable can be easily hidden around the door sills. The only bit I can see is where it plugs into the lighter socket and of course it can only be seen by any rear seat passengers, which I rarely carry.

There is a fuse box in the drivers footwell. I bought a fuse adapter and piggybacked on an ignition controlled circuit. Job done in 30 minutes.

There isn't one no. However it's easy to hard wire to the driver side fuse box.

Where is the driver's side fuse box? I've just been on my hands and knees looking for mine (in a 330e if that makes any difference). Spent a while trying to pull a panel off until I realised it was the airbag. My eyes aren't what they used to be!

Thanks for the directions. Managed to find it. I've even managed to hide the dashcam cable all the way in. Last question then: any idea which fuse I can use to piggyback on?
Thanks.

Not sure that is the same fusebox, but 36 is always live and 59 is ignition controlled - referring to front right

Thank you. Looks like I’ll need to re-run the cable to the right hand fuse box.
