2020 X3 M40i
Hi,
we are looking to replace our current 2012 X3 35i and get the M40i, I found one, it's 2020 X3 M40i, 10k miles,, executive package, front ventilated seats,, it has all the options except m adaptive suspension and wireless charging, should I go for it or keep looking? price is decent as well (I think) 49k Thanks |

Finally, if you plan on having it as long as your 35i, having a car that you know was properly broken in, etc might be worth the difference in price. |

I'd be careful of the ventilated seat option. A lot of complaints on here about the comfort with those seats.

Since you kept your last one almost 10 years, if you go for new without a great deal, its ~18K more amortized over 120 months which is about 150 a month. So that is the decision you have to make.
Would I do it? You bet, this is my 1st BMW and I got just about the same deal (demo with 6,000 miles) but I'm already thinking to trade her in next year for one that got everything I want. As mentioned below, I wanted ventilated seat, but a lot of people find out the hard way that you loose the sport seat when you pay extra for ventilated one I would suggest that you wait to see what the 2022 will be like (maybe ventilated sport seat like the M version) and then either spec a 2021 to your liking or wait for the 2022. |

The other big problem with the ventilated seats is that the side bolsters are not adjustable. They don't give you enough lateral support, you'll be sliding all over the place when you're cornering

I don't know. Never looked at a 2020. I know when you build one and select ventilated seats Black is the only option.

You can do ventilated seats in Beige or Black. Load the config, select Beige Vernasca and select ventilated seats. It will let you keep that color and it will show in the render. If you try to get Oyster or Cognac it will remove the ventilated option. It just defaults to Black if you have either the Sensatec seats or have the other two colors selected when you choose ventilated seats.
