fuel door stuck closed

On the line with bmw roadside assistance which hasn't found a solution for me yet. I pulled the panel in the trunk next to the fuel door but there is no green release pull tab that I see to open the door. Not sure if there is a different way to do this on a 2018 X3 m40i.

Super obvious I know, but have you tried (outside of the vehicle) locking and unlocking the car again via the fob?
