Coded 1CR Remote Start w Key Fob, parking lights flashes

Hello all,

I ve coded S1CRA Remote start option with Esys, which starts the car after 3 pushes on lock button.

I have the Remote start check button in ventilation settings. When I have tried to start the car remotely, car parking lights flashes and car ventilates for 3 secs then flashes again. Engine wont start. Then i get a remote start failed message on the dash.

Any possible solutions to this?

There might be a hardware component to the remote start feature.

I dont think so. It should be a mere matter of coding as there is start-stop feature and keyless go feature.

Hi,

My 2020 M340 came with remote start option. After enabling it on iDrive, it starts the car and cools it down quite well, however, if I try to drive off without fob, can't shift out of park. So how does keyless go feature work?

Are you tuned by any chance? I know if you have a flash tune like bootmod or ecutek, it breaks remote start. The car will do exactly as you described, it will flash the lights but car will not turn over. Mission Performance is the only current flash tune that has a workaround where you can leave the key card in its designated spot and the car will remote start. Dinan just said they figured it out as well on their flash tune but havent seen it in action yet.

If you have connecteddrive account you can purchase the remote start if it shows on the connecteddrive store. Just purchased it today and i can confirm i have remote start now working via the key fob and the mybmw app.

Keyless doesn't mean you don't need the key. It just means you don't need to access the key or use the key to do things (like drive). The car still needs the key inside of the cabin for security reasons so someone doesn't steal your car. It's an authentication measure.

BMW are the ONLY supplier of FSC. They probably wont sell it to you so you will need t go via a 3rd party. You need to contact the 3rd parties, including the guys who got it working in that thread, and ask them if they can provide one for a cost.

You might not be able to get it, but that is the solution.

Have you confirmed you have space for the FSC in esys?

Thank you for answer, The car is US spec but it's not in usa now that's why i need to activate it through a 3rd party, I got an email from bmw north america telling me that i can purchase remote engine start from store for my car so it's supported i think.
