R44 Perf rear diffuser

For those that never got the M Carbon Exterior Package, I just saw on R44's instagram that they have brought out an OEM++ rear diffuser.

So good to see somebody bringing out good quality parts that are realistic in pricing instead of the ridiculous BMW M Perf price tag. Going to wait on what Akra is going to bring out, if that is not impressive I will for sure be ordering this!

I ordered one a couple weeks ago. I will be posting photos after the installed. I should have it late this week or beginning of next. As for Akra here ya go.

Total was about $1200 to Texas.

I am really liking everything they are doing. They have great attention to detail and from what I’ve been shown they are greatly improving in quality. I just ordered their pre preg side skirts from them.

It really is good stuff. I got the cs style trunk lip and its was great which led me to purchasing the rear diffuser. Playing catch up for not getting the carbon exterior pack lol.

Now all I need is there front inlet set to come out!

Hey all,

We will have something most likely in the near year to replace the full diffuser. We are just working to complete the full low line kit..(keeping a line of Gloss Black around the car then carbon under)

Check back on Tuesday we will have fitted photos and install video on the product page of the diffuser. 2 min install and looks so good!

Took less than 10 mins. Just need a plastic tab remover. 4 on the bottom and then just pull tabs along the side and top. Then just pop in the new one an replace the push tabs. 1 out of 10 on the hard scale.

Does your carbon company have any plans to do the OEM piano black side skirts in carbon? Ridiculous that the OEM Package doesn't offer it.

What do you guys think of the R44 front lip and side skirts vs M Perf options? I personally don't like the M Perf side skirt-portion near the rear wheels like looks like a wing, and why I do like the R44 version…it doesn't have that "flare," if you will…still beautiful but more understated, which is what I like.

Just curious on what all of you think?

I hate the OEM wing things so much.

Man I am having a hell of a time getting my stock diffuser off. Took 10 minutes trying to get one of the side tabs alone. Now I can’t seem to get them to pop off the top row. And the side tabs easily scratch the narrow black trim that surrounds it. Big pita so far…

Any tips?

Definitely harder than the video shows. Study the shape of the tabs on the new one then try to get behind and pop the tabs with a tool. I remember it took quite a bit of force. BE CAREFUL when you pop in the new one, especially the tabs on the top. Apply even spread out force so you don't crack the diffuser.
