Silver interior trim painted

On the release photos of the Autotechnik Red Volume Button I noticed their silver interior trims had been painted. Curious if anyone has taken their silver trims out and painted them a different colour. I’m really considering changing them as well.

Can’t find the owner of the car however. Would love to see how this process went and how work is involved. I love the black chrome trim pieces in my F90, not a big fan of the silver trim on the car now.

I'm actually really tempted to send Ryan@IND a note to see what would be involved here. Thinking it wouldn't be cheap in the least bit though.

Instead of paint, maybe you can just wrap it.

That's actually less than what I was thinking it would cost.

Does that include the silver pieces on the doors and side vent on the dash?

I sat in my car this morning and started to make note of where all the silver trim was.

There is actually a lot of it and I think going down the path of painting it would be a dangerous one for the wallet. Have a feeling that $800 was only for what we could see in those photos.

That's what I was thinking. Not sure mixing and matching between painted and silver trim is a great look, atleast for my taste.

If I were to do it I’ll change every silver trim piece. Debating if I should go black chrome (as my F90) or go gloss black. The silver trim is absolutely the only thing I don’t like about the interior. I’ll contact a local shop and see what they quote me for it.

Wow, ok, they really did go all out and cover all the silver bits. Interesting and I think I do still like it.

I've been contemplating how to do this an would like to try wrapping though it might be more difficult and reversible , but painting came out just as good as I'd hoped. I'm honestly surprised that most people are okay with all the gaudy silver on the interior. Never thought about body color as a choice until I saw this beaut as both carbon or piano black would conflict with surrounding trim pieces. Not quite sure the riviera blue I ordered in will go nicely with the tarfuto internally.

I wish there was a choice for the climate buttons as there's a part (64119459475) that come in black and it looks great, but it's not the same options unfortunately.

Then for some reason you can also buy caps for the surrounding black buttons but not the chrome ones...
