I am thinking about adding an intake just for the added noise. What is everyone's favorite? Do the open box ones sound louder/better than the closed one?

Intakes are solely for sound, there is no performance benefit.

I bought the MST intake off your website last week (appreciate your quick responses, its what lead me to buy from you) and just installed it tonight. However, I'm disappointed as it doesnt seem to spool up when parked revving the engine. Its pretty loud under power, but not what I was expecting/have seen in videos.

I'm confident I installed everything perfectly, no CEL or any other lights. Any thoughts on this? I went with the MST for the sound so want to understand if its possibly installed wrong or I was just overestimating the sound.

FYI we also just installed an Injen CAI in my buddies 2016 328 today and it sounds really really good, revving at idle and under power. So I'm a bit confused why mine is underwhelming.

I'm sorry to hear that; I don't think anything went wrong with the installation.
Some intakes are louder than others.

It sounds like you would have preferred a louder intake like the Injen.

Earlier in this thread MST was mentioned a couple times as being the loudest. Injen is true to be louder?

I have never had them side by side to say which is louder, but Injen filters are pretty loud, so I would not be surprised if they are louder than everything else on the market.

I have a Dinan intake and was wondering if I switch to mst would it be that much louder? I can’t hear the Dinan with windows up at all and wanted to know if it would be worth it.

I'm thinking about putting an Injen on my GC. We just installed one on my wife's bronco (WAAAAAY more involved work, all the piping replaced on a TT V6) and it sounds pretty damn good. She's got her BOV vented to atmosphere so you can hear the intake sucking in and then the BOV blowing out...it's quite funny in a big stupid SUV.

I have the armaspeed full carbon fiber intake and it's definitely loud; you can easily hear it even with the windows up.

Arma makes excellent intakes, but given they are closed, they are not considered one of the louder options. You can easily find open intakes that are 20% louder than ARMA

Got a 330 g20 I want to get an intake thinking of getting the bms intake with ftp intake pipe(don’t know which bms would fit the ftp setup they got b46/b48 f30 and b58 g20 on the website) or the mad intake or a injen(would i need a intake pipe 4 this setup or it would still be louder than the other options without it. Tryna get the loudest option
