My current list of favorite car care products if helpful
Hi all, new member here with a car on order. Over the years I have gone through many, many different car care products.
Here's a list I created for someone with the products I currently rely on. Figured I'd paste it in if helpful! That said, always open to trying something new if anyone has strong recommendations! Wax equivalent (VOC-free and REACH compliant) https://www.amazon.com/IGL-Coatings-.../dp/B085SYSNGD Polish https://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Blac.../dp/B00GHVYHBE Car wash https://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Blac.../dp/B015Y526RA Clay bar equivalent https://www.amazon.com/Nanoskin-AS-0.../dp/B00DOS0LH2 Lubricant for use with the clay bar equivalent https://www.amazon.com/Nanoskin-NA-G.../dp/B00DOS0KC8 General-purpose cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VBA8FK Wheel cleaner https://www.amazon.com/Sonax-230400-.../dp/B07Y48R3YQ Microfiber towels https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys...dp/B00A8MZ7IA/ Microfiber applicators https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys.../dp/B00BJCN7Z8 Wash mitt https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys.../dp/B086HKHWZ4 Bucket with grit guard https://www.amazon.com/Adams-Grit-Gu.../dp/B0828BFG39 Leather cleaner/conditioner https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G201.../dp/B08B43M5F8 Vinyl protectant https://www.amazon.com/303-30382-Pro.../dp/B0185PU38A Glass cleaner https://www.amazon.com/Stoner-Invisi.../dp/B000M3V95U Brushes for air vents, between panels, etc. https://www.amazon.com/HMPLL-Detaili.../dp/B08LN6CZKD Wheel brush (gets into the rim area behind the spokes) https://www.amazon.com/SPEED-MASTER-.../dp/B00E9E76F0 Wheel brush with long handle (for outer rim surfaces) https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-15580.../dp/B001GJ3E2K Black trim treatment https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Ulti.../dp/B0055PD1H4 By the way, I used to use Meguiar's All-Purpose Cleaner instead of Simple Green, that is, until I read the label. Let me tell you, it is absolutely frightening! Here is what the Meguiar's label says: IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. For comparison, here is what the Simple Green label shows: Inhalation: Not expected to cause respiratory irritation. If adverse effect occurs, move to fresh air. Skin Contact: Not expected to cause skin irritation. If adverse effect occurs, rinse skin with water. Eye Contact: Not expected to cause eye irritation. If adverse effect occurs, flush eyes with water. Ingestion: May cause upset stomach. Drink plenty of water to dilute. |

I would suggest a PH neutral car shampoo such as Koch Chemie GSF, or Carpro Reset.
Also, there are many more microfiber towels much better than Chemical guys including but not limited too The Rag Company and Luxury Microfiber.

Yes, both of those are perfectly suitable for manual hand washing without foam. My personal favorite is Koch Chemie GSF. Really thick lather, even without foam gun.
