G21 Adaptive Suspension - or Not

Hi,
I have a new 2023 LCI G21 MSport which was ordered here in the UK with the Adaptive Suspension option. However, upon delivery, I see there is no Adaptive button on the centre console where it used to be. I just have Sport, Comfort, Eco.

I can see from my order that the car was definitely ordered with the Adaptive suspension option and the dealer has confirmed this. The dealer tells me that BMW may have done away with the adaptive button and now Adaptive is just incorporated in the way the car drives!

There is nothing in the I Drive screen either to show an Adaptive suspension option.

I notice on the UK BMW website that Adaptive Suspension is not being offered anymore due to supply chain issues.

I am now suspecting the car was ordered correctly, but not fitted at the factory.

My question therefore is how I can tell if I have the M adaptative suspension or not if there is no button and nothing on the I-Drive.

Thanks in advance.

If there is adaptive suspension, there should be the suspension selection option in Sport Individual.

Other check is the hardware. Swing car onto lock and look on the strut, should be a round valve block on the side, with a wire coming out of it.

Garage List
... Or look at your build sheet (via a VIN decoder if you don't already have it). Mine lists 'S2VFA - Adaptive M suspension' so I imagine that code is the same across all countries (for German built cars at least).

Thanks for the replies.

The car is a 320D M Sport.

I have attached photos showing the display screen options under Sport mode. The dampers do have wires coming out of them front and rear of each damper.

I'm just not understanding that if i have the M adaptive suspension option paid for (sadly I dont have access to a VIN decoder), but no button on the console to activate adaptive, and no option in the display screen, how am I supposed to select adaptive mode?

Yes you definitely have adaptive suspension. Proof in the dampers themselves. Plus the the damper Comfort or Sport option is there, as shown in the image.

Adaptive Mode is not a function in LCI models, but you have "continuously adapting" suspension, what you paid for. Just select your choice, Comfort or Sport mode, or select personal preferences in Sport Individual.

you have adaptive. it continually adapts the damper 100x a second.

if you buy a $100 tool you can also code comfort plus - super plush mode
