Apple CarPlay issues?
Anybody else infuriated by the issues they’re having with Apple CarPlay? I use it for a lot of things, but primarily streaming Apple Music and I swear eight out of 10 times when I ask it to do something it doesn’t work. It just doesn’t work, or it pauses or just says “working on it” and then fails.
I realize that it does run off of cellular data, and the signal strength may play into it sometimes, but not as often as I’m having issues. A lot of times I have full bars. My car is a 2023 model with iDrive 8 and my phone is an iPhone 12 Pro. I have tried rebooting iDrive, and I have restarted and a done a hard reset on my iPhone and none of this works. Anybody else have any ideas? Is this a BMW issue or an Apple issue? |

I have a 2023 with iDrive 8 and an iPhone 14 Pro. The only issue I have is the drifting location in Waze. Have not experienced issues with it not performing actions when I select them.

I have an issue where i use it and if i get out of the car and come back in about 5 mins the phone kinda connects. The audio comes out the phone and but can be controlled by tbe screen. I have to pause and play on the screen to get it to come through the car speakers

I was getting this a lot, especially texting with Siri -- "working on it" for ages, then failures. Hate to say it, but updating my phone from an 11 to a 14 has completely solved it.
