Erroneous 'MyBMW' Alerts

For the benefit of those that might be experiencing the same problem, MyBMW app alerted me yesterday to a starter battery problem and a brake service need.
The alerts had dates on them that were over a month old (although I had never seen them before and I am in the app on close to a daily basis, and I have had the car serviced since the date on the alerts). Also, the car itself was not flagging the same issues.
I quit and relaunched the app and the alerts disappeared, only to reappear a few hours later.
I stopped by the dealer today. They read the key and confirmed the alerts were not showing there either. They also said they had had other customers reporting the same issue.
They have now gone from the app and the SA thought that the key read had reset the background system.
The alerts have not reappeared.

I had the same yesterday with the same dates. Saw some reports of the same on the i4 forums too. They were gone after the next drive.

Me too! Mine is at the dealer getting some warranty work done and I was starting to crap myself. The work they’re doing has nothing to do with the alerts I was getting. Hahaha

Omg super weird, this is across continents then.

I had the same errors yesterday too, based in Australia...

Mine is in southern Spain coverd and sleeping nicely. Then I decided to check on her and make sure she was not moving north the Costa Del Sol without me,

I am on vacation in the US and I get this warning.. about battery and brakes... I don't want to get home to a dead battery.
Glad to see is not just my car. OP thanks for posting I can breath now.

Same. I hadn't driven in a little over a week and thought I just wasn't driving enough and hooked it up to the tender. Glad it was just a glitch.

Got the same message Thursday on my F97 but not on my G80

Dealer told me that it was development issue with the app that pushed out to everyone. They resolved it the next day. My car showed no issue with it. Just the app was showing faults.

I had this too. It went away the day after. These messages only appeared on the app - car was fine.
