iDrive 8 screen burn in

(2023 330e) Is there any way I can prevent this screen from popping up while my car is charging? The “BMW” text gets burnt into the display after sitting for hours.

I only charge my 2023 330e at night... on a timer/schedule, so I'm not aware if my care does this or not.

I'm curious if this is consistent across the model or if your car is an outlier for some reason. Also, it looks like the light behind your hazard button is on.

Any other 2023 330e owners able to chime in?

Looks like your keyfob is in the neightbouhood. Leave your keyfob away and return after around 15 minutes. Then everything should be switched off.

BMW uses an LCD panel they should not be burning in. That should really only be a problem on OLED panels. You may have a defective screen

??? Is that an OLED screen? If it's a LCD, it won't burn in at all.

Believe it or not- LED and LCD can bend the plastic and “burn” in if left on long enough.

I have been seeing people say that LCDs never burn in for ages but I’ve had many experiences with it happening

No, but the temporary burn in still happens to this day. Even after short drives now, the guages and other information that that stays put burn in
