Steering rack - Knocking sound at low speeds - Update 07/07/2023
Has anyone had to wait for a new steering rack in the UK if so how long did it take for yours to arrive? Dealership told me there's none available and that I will have to wait up to 6 months...
Also, were you allowed to drive you car while waiting for the part to arrive? For some reason they're giving me a courtesy car and I can't drive my one... Update 07/07/2023 Had a new steering rack fitted 3 days ago and it fixed the knocking sound which was coming from the front left side of the car. They originally tried replacing the tie rods but that didn't fix it. Luckily I only had to wait 1 month for the steering rack instead of 6. FYI - The knocking sound on my BMW G20 320i 2020 would only happen at low speeds under 10mph when steering the steering wheel or pressing the breaks it would make a weird knocking sound.
