Armaspeed Carbon Intake Kit

I just installed the Armaspeed Carbon Intake kit on my 2022 M340i. I ordered it directly from Armaspeed and it arrived in less than a week.
It comes with a full carbon intake, radiator shroud cover (they refer to it as a slam plate cover), and lastly a carbon cover for the driver's side of the engine bay.
The packaging it arrived in was beyond what I expected. This is REAL CARBON FIBER. It isn't some cheep hydro dipped plastic. Each carbon piece is wrapped in a cloth like shipping bag, which is then covered in bubble wrap. The rest of the void within the box is filled with air pack shipping bags which prevent any possibility of damage.
The install was slightly difficult due to the tight tolerances under the engine bay. The fitment is amazing and the end result is perfect. I have attached a photo of each part that it came with They even include window stickers and a nice keychain tether .

Looks awesome! I have the same kit on my 330I and think it's worth the extra price over an MST or other intake just because it looks so awesome. I also installed the Dinan Turbo inlet so can confirm that it works with the Armaspeed intake

Wow!!! That is just way too much for a part that really does nothing. It’s just fancy jewelry. But I guess since you own a BMW you are used to over paying.

I think it looks good. Probably sounds good. Probably also adds a little power, too.

This is 100% the kit I've got bookmarked to order when my G20 arrives (hopefully) around the end of this month.

I think for all the carbon parts you get, it's a solid deal and they all look really clean.

Intakes don't really do much for performance. They are mainly for aesthetics and sound. The sound is amazing. You can really hear the "sucking" sound and the turbo spooling up. When you let off the throttle it gives a decent woooshh sound which can also be heard between shifts. The M340i doesn't have a blow-off, bypass/diverter valve, so it isn't as pronounced as you would commonly hear on some of the imports.

Thanks for the write-up, pictures and personal review. IMHO it's one of the most aesthetically pleasing options we have for intakes. Definitely on my short list to buy from Mike at x-ph.

I have the Armaspeed forged carbon strut braces. I ordered them after. I just haven't had the chance to put them on yet.

I think those may be the only ones that work with this intake, but I don’t like how it is a different kind of carbon.

@armaspeed your above link says the intake adds horsepower. Is this backed up with some proof?
