Anyone know any good hand car washes in or near Dallas/Frisco? And what would the cost be?
Also would you suggest automatic car washes, since some said these days it’s better to do that instead of hand washes at home. |

Automatic car washes will give you swirls at best (maybe not too bad initially, but over time it'll get worse), at worst, scratches. I live in Chicago and I do take mine through an auto wash maybe once a year in the winter, but I actively try and avoid that. Touchless car wash or one you're in a bay spraying it yourself are better options that a traditional automatic car wash.

But if you really care about your car, you're never going to get a better wash than doing a hand wash yourself. If you don't have the supplies, it might be time to invest. Or even if you'd rather someone do it for you, just find a reliable mobile detailer |

I would recommend hand washing at home if possible or touchless car wash(not recommended frequently). I recently moved to Dallas and it is hard to find touchless car washes. I had to go 13 miles to the colony for laserwash. Instead, I'm planning for a self-service car wash.

No one will wash your car with care but yourself. The car wash place is aiming at making money in the shortest time and least effort. However, if you invest in getting the foam canon, pressure wash machine, pH neutral foam soap, brushes, and the right microfiber towels and rapid drying towels. It only took me 20-30 minutes to get the car back to the new car state without one single scratch.

You don't need to invest $1000 in tools. I got all my tools and supplies off Amazon, and spent around total of $200. |

My dilemma is during winter where it’s too cold to hand wash yourself, no touchless car wash nearby and detailer for a nominal charge and will get dirty again before you even arrive home

Ceramic coating may help you to keep the car clean longer and no wax for a long while.

A good foam cannon alone will cost you around $100 and that doesn't even include a pressure washer which honestly, even the ones that are $100-200 are a joke. |
