G20 LCI Merino Leather Kneepads

Decided to try to fit these. Being a taller person, that plastic piece gets pretty uncomfortable during long drives. Luckily, the leather wrapped kneepads found on G80/2/3’s with ful leather fit perfectly on the g20s. They are padded as well, so super comfortable for your knees!

These are for LHD cars
Part Numbers:
51169502519 - Drivers side, Black/Gray contrast stitching
51169502525 - Passengers side Black/Gray contrast stitching

Pretty Pricy all things considered, but your knees will appreciate them! 🤣… and they look nice.

By far one of the best mods I did early for my M340i. Real leather matching knee pads worth every dollar.

Looks great one of the first things I did too.

Out of interest, how did you remove the surround for the start stop button? I damaged mine installing the red start button and its still bugging me!

I dented the chrome plastic trim and it was bothering me as well haha. Removing it was a pain in the butt. I used this video. Skip to 1:02.

I’m not sure how he got it off so clean, but I ended up breaking the surround more getting it off. Was planning on replacing it anyways, so whatever I guess..

Not really, there are some clips at the front that are a bit tricky, but if you have a trim removal tool it shouldn’t be difficult.

My car is in for service and my loaner has these knee pads with blue stitching.

This is definitely must have.

Part #s for Black / Blue Stitching are:

# 51-16-7-911-033 (Driver)
# 51-16-7-911-035 (Passenger)

I’d love these but I can’t see them being $400 for the set Shesh.

Guessing there’s someone out there that could making custom matching leather pads for less than $400…

In my Volvo days there was a shop making custom leather armrests (since pretty much every Volvo armrest from 2008 to 2017 was total crap).
