Living in the Chicago area I needed waterproof floor mats. I considered WeatherTech but I am not a fan of how hard the weatherproof mats are. They are starting to make softer rubber mats but don't have them for the 4 series yet.

I highly recommend BMW All-Weather Floor Mats. These are not the same as the rubber floor liners.

I have driven about 2K miles with them and have zero complaints.

They fit like a glove, are pliable, are not slippery when wet, are heavy enough they wont slide around, and were reasonably priced.

They are also low profile so they don't interfere with the pedals.
