I have an M340i Touring which I had delivered mid November and the last couple of days, iDrive has started lagging where I see how the Waze map for example isn't smooth but moves the map very erratically.

It's not just Waze but also the sound cuts out when listening to YouTube Music.

When I think of it, it might be more of an Android Auto issue rather than an iDrive issue. Will check the responsiveness of other car apps next time it's happening.

I've learned how resetting iDrive by holding the volume knob for about 30 seconds until it restarts fixes the issue but before I know it, the issue is back.

I'm on iDrive version 07/2023.53 and Android Auto 11.2.640434-release on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Anyone else with the same problem?

yes, the same, seems like aauto problem, see discussion on google aauto forum
to fix it for me quickly - jump to idrive homescreen and then back to aauto, i also set fixed resolution in aauto
i got impression that it happens more on my samsung than on xiaomi
but i am on idrive 7

Haven't seen the issue lately so maybe the last reset I performed cleared something up. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
