Has anyone managed to fit quad pipes to the LCI M340i ? I really do not like the look of the M340i tail pipes makes it look the the 5 series tailpipes, I do not care about sound just the look so would only want to change the tail pipes nothing else ?

I imagine so if you search through and try the exhaust manufacturers. Personally think while bmw went a bit cheap on massive surrounds and small actual exhausts, quads on a non m are a bit out of place.

I understand what you are saying about quad exhaust being for M cars, I totally understand the M340i is not a M3 but just out of curiosity when you go into the BMW configuration page you can choose

M Sport

Or

M models which the M340i is under, so do BMW themselves class them as a M car ?

I am sure this has been asked a million times lol and not trying to start a war with any true M car owners 🕺🏼

Haha I'm certainly not M precious as an m340 driver myself just personal preference. If you want it go for it though and if you get a bit more growl and burble all the better!

I was just kind of wondering why bmw do class it as a M car but most of us bmw owners do not, I feel a M3 or M4 is a proper M Car a M340i is basically the next best thing 🕺🏼

Yeah, it's just BMW marketing, of course it's not a real M car, but classing it as one in the configurator might make it more appealing to some, I guess.

In the M440i, the plastic exhaust surrounds probably need removing to accommodate a quad tail tips . Not sure whether the M340i would be the same?

I was looking at an M Performance exhaust for my G22 and if I did get one, I’d fit quad tail tips

It will be interesting to see if anyone manages to get the quad tail pipes fitted or like you say will it need the plastic rear black defuser changing
