Just picked up a KYOSTAR intake + inlet off eBay for ~ $265 shipped. I was already really close to buying the MST, but had heard good things, and the few clips that I found on YouTube sounded similar to the MST which I’ve heard in person.

TLDR; it’s awesome!

The intake pipe is made of aluminum while the inlet pipe is a reinforced silicone.

Install was pretty easy after watching a few MST or other brand videos. Removing the airbox is super easy. The inlet but is still relatively easy. Once it’s off it’s a breeze installing. The last steps of lining everything up took a little time but wasn’t bad.

My m340 with stage 2 MHD on 93, highflow ER downpipe, and Dinan exhaust already had a pretty good tone. I wondered if the turbo flutter sounds would even come thru, but it’s awesome. As boost builds you hear this WHOOSH sound and when you let off the throttle you hear the typical MST flutter.

I’ll try to record some sounds from the cabin and also from a car driving next to it. Hopefully it holds up well, bc I love the sound of it.

slm266 no issues getting the silicone turbo inlet on the turbo? Wonder how strong that clamp will be on there. Don’t want it to blow off.

Cant remember when I changed out my 2018 340i if there was a c-clip or not holding the turbo inlet on.

Install was really easy, just took a few minutes to line it all and get the filter on the intake pipe deep enough, but all relatively easy, just need to tighten a few hose clamps, fit great.

Hardest part was getting OEM inlet off and that’s not even bad after watching a few diff videos by people installing other brands of inlets
