Out with the Old, In with the New: 2007 Camry and 2021 M340i Together!
I am finally fulfilling my childhood dream of owning an incredibly fast sports car! I am praying the B58 will be kind to me on the maintenance.

Be proactive on maintenance and you’ll be fine. Don’t wait for recommended maintenance schedule, for example, 10k oil change. I would change every 5k.

You have 10k oil change as recommended? Wow! Here in the EU, the recommended is 19k and people advise to be more diligent and do it every 6k miles or at least once per year.

Not sure if you have anything planned for it yet, But I'd recommend 2 things off the bat. Find an independent shop that specializes in BMW's, and that has a proper wheel alignment rack, and get a wheel alignment, even if you don't sense anything strange yet. If you plan on keeping the car long term, some PPF on at least the hood, the entire front bumper, and headlights, will go a long way in protecting those vulnerable paint areas and lenses. |
