Weird configuration mix of LCI1 and LCI2

I ordered my G20 in March and it was produced in July, now it's being shipped and will be ready to pick up in about 2 weeks.

But there's something weird with the configuration. My dealer claims the car will be LCI1. It's the 330i RWD (the LCI2 version of 330i is available only with the xDrive).

I have checked the VIN in bimmer.work and in the myBMW app and it shows some weird graphics - Most of the interior is LCI2 (steering wheel, the dashboard), but the seats which are LCI1 version (sensatec + alcantara). Yet based on the VIN the car will be RWD as ordered.

I don't know what to expect. Do you guys know if it is possible I will get the mixed version of LCI1 and LCI2? Or maybe it's the configurator app error?

The configurator is prone to inaccuracy and can’t be trusted. Don’t worry about it.

Okay, so you think I should expect it will be complete LCI1? The car was produced on 11 July 2024. Weird though, as one guy from my local BMW forum claims his dealer told him the car will indeed be a mix of LCI 1 and 2, so LCI1 seats with LCI2 dashboard and steering wheel.

There is no mix, if it is 2024 model then it is pre-LCI2. 2025 models all LCI2. If 10th character of your vin is R then it is 24 model if S then it is 25 model

There’s neither R nor S in my VIN

The 10th character or my VIN is 0.

Mine's definitely an LCI2 and VIN starts with WBA41FF020F if it helps.

10th character of 17 character American VIN corresponds to a year, European VINs can have up to 19 characters, so probably different character identifies the year.

My car has to be 2024 year mode, because there's no 330i RWD in the LCI2 version. Yet, as you can see above in the visualisation, the seats are from LCI1, the rest is from LCI2. Weird thing. Technically - according to the app, that's what I should expect to be delivered. I guess there are hundreds of people in the same situation, unsure what they will get.

Wait for your car to arrive. Seems like you’re trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. It’s not like you can do anything about it right now. The configurator is likely inaccurate. If anything you can also call the Genius line and they should be able to give you all the info regarding your vehicle: they are pretty good with answering questions related to order status.

You're right, there's nothing I can do about it but wait. I was just curious as people are getting their cars delivered and might have encountered the same strange visualization, so I hoped someone will share their experience.
