M340i Red Stripe delete

Has anyone heard of you can swap a non stripe steering wheel out of a non m performance car and use it on a 2025 m340?

I can’t believe that I come around to ordering one and feel it looks rather gaffe on what otherwise is a nice steering wheel.

Also I realize the red stripe might be for the \\M performance aspect. But why not include the blue too?

I noticed the x3 m50 and i5 M60 have this stripe.

And the 330i does not.

More and more I question if I just roll with it and dislike one part of a car where I like a whole bunch more of it. Anyone seem to sympathize on that level with me? As a bmw owner since 1998 I am not aging well with the new designs as it is.

I’m curious if it could be dyed. I’m not crazy about the red stripe either.

The non MSPORT wheel is black. Actually wondering if the rim could be swapped out.

I think the should offer it in black as well on the MSport

Sorry, I'm lost - what "red stripe" are we even talking about here?
I'm a bit curious.

True. I believe there is racing heritage for this. But they make the same wheel with black- make it a no cost option. I’d pay 250.00-500.00 to make it blue and match the sport calibers.

Mine calipers will be red, so it looks good for me. I probably would also pay to get it, but it was included in my m340

Right- I’m just a blue caliper fan and a blue stripe would work better for me.

Turns out the steering wheel rim from the regular three will fit. If it bothers me that much I can swap it out.

Fairly certain you could remove the actual steering rim (there is a release that allows service tech to remove it) and then fit on a new non m one.

Then you have to ask the question- is it worth it and also- it’s no longer OEM from the factory.

Being a car enthusiast really does have its ups and downs.

I’m going off the 5 series i5 m60 I recently drove too- steering wheel had the same red accent and I wasn’t in love with the look.

The 2025 330i M Sport has the same exact steering wheel but without the red stripe. could always swap iit out as a worst case scenario.

Sadly, I ordered the black vernsaca leather with red highlights just so the red stripe on the steering wheel would actually match the interior of the car. Otherwise I would have gotten another color of interior. So I like the red strip on the steering wheel for my car, but I agree that it probably looks out of place on any other color interior (beside black or black with red highlights).

Yes- pricy but I’ve considered the m340 for so long it would be silly not to go for it.

Are the headlights new even past the 23 LCI?

In 23 when you turned on the directional one DRL turned off.

In a 2025 video the signal is on and the drl is also not off.

On the x3 for 24 it looks almost broken when the signal is on and the drl shuts off.

Did they make a
Change for 2025 on this mini lci for 25? I think I need to drive the car or see it.

Smart man. I’m still reeling over the red highlight strip on sport from the f30 sport dash. It was heinous. The red in the interior was too much there.

This seems practical and the red highlight will look okay for you.

What exterior color ?

I like skyscraper a lot. Unfortunately it isn’t available on the 2025 M440i.

To my eyes it’s very close to space gray.

One of my All time favorites. If I had a way to make it titanium silver I would. I had that new in 2003 on a 330

I ordered skyscraper gray m340 with takora red interior and red brakes, but I was so worried that BMW will take that color out with LCI2.
