Supposedly Stock BMW M340i Requesting 24 PSI Boost

Hello everyone,

I bought a second-hand 2022 BMW M340i from a BMW dealership, with a warranty until 2027.

My car was supposed to be stock, right? So I bought a JB4, and I noticed that when I activated map 2, the car was reaching 29.5 PSI. I did a datalog on map 0, and the ECU is actually requesting 24 PSI at full load.

Oh, one more information, I tried to use bootmod and the APP says that my ECU is locked.

What do you guys think?

That seems like a lot but I know on mine once you get past the first few gears my factory 20psi gauge is pinned and I’m still on the stock tune.

You should never get that much psi. 29 is way too high. Are you sure you looking at proper parameters?

There are multiple boost indicators
Boost1 and boos2

Boost at charge pile abd boost st mainfold

Also what you request and what you get can be different things. I don't think anyone running 24psi on stock. These turbos pretty much dead after 23psi, they can't really handle it.

Look for timing corrections. If you running that much boost on 93, you probably pulling timing

Oh lord, sorry, I'm a newbie.

I was only looking at boost1. I checked again, and boost2 is reaching a max of 21.3 PSI on MAP 0 (stock). That seems a bit high for a 'stock' car.

Umm 29.5psi pressure is STOCK.

29.5 - 14.5 = 15psi boost, that's pretty much stock boost.

Don't confuse boost with pressure. Absolute pressure is boost PSI plus atmospheric pressure.
