Question HDMI & Audio Input ID8/8.5

Hi guys, this Korean tech company has recently released a new plug and play MMI box which display's HDMI input to our cars large screen.
https://www.networkwws.com/new-arrivals

Other work arounds that we've seen so far only provide a mod to cast an android OS to the carplay screen like what Ottocast offers, running apps through the Google Playstore. The only issue with this MMI system is the HDMI audio is not outputted to the car speakers and rather to an aux output as marked on the box.

I'm looking at purchasing this box, but im wondering how I could get audio to come out from the car. What could I do in this instance? Do I need an upgraded amp? I have HK's in my G83.

Looking at the HDMI Audio out cable, it's a basic left and right RCA cable, so that box appears to be extracting just the audio from the incoming HDMI signal and sending it out as a low level/RCA signal. So yea, I think you'd need an amp that can take an additional low level input in addition to however you're feeding it (the aftermarket amp) the main audio system's signal.

Or maybe something like this would be easier to go directly from the HDMI Audio Out cable to the car's AUX input via USB-C:

Can AUX audio be transferred to our USBC port? I didn't know that port took AUX input.

Not sure actually. Looks like the traditional AUX inputs have been deleted. But the USB-A port will transfer data; I suppose you could test that by disabling Bluetooth on your phone, plug into that, and see if it'll stream something.
