Debating on getting mst cold air intake for 2019 330i

Hi I am really interested in getting a mst air intake for my bmw but I'm getting mixed thoughts on it. Some people say they check engines others say it makes engine perform worse. While others are saying complete opposite. I have seen people do installing on 2020+ don't know if the 19 is any different when installing intake that makes it more sensitive to codes. Also heard you need a tune if you don't want the cel. So really unsure rn...Hi I am really interested in getting a mst air intake for my bmw but I'm getting mixed thoughts on it. Just do it. Intakes are cool. They look and sound good. No check engine lights or other issues. Easy to install and remove is neccesary.

Don’t think it will work for me considering I have a b46

It will work on a b46 I recently ordered an MST Intake for my 2020 330 and its been installed for a week running perfectly fine.

Ignore the ziptie holding the maf sensor. I might've accidentally used the OEM screws instead of the included MST screws to secure the maf sensor to the pipe and the oem screw broke off inside the threads

Is there a difference in the B48 and B46 intakes?

In 99% of the cases, there is not.

the way i see it, if the description does not specifically say it fits one and not the other, then it will fit both.

but if you cant find users on the forums that tried it before you and you do not feel like testing it yourself, always confirm with the manufacturer

Thanks for the respond was it hard to install heard it’s a pain to remove the pcv and the clip in the back holding the airbox

It improves the airflow; it won't make anything worse.
it will increase the sound and power

the sound upgrade is easily noticeable, the power increase is not for the butt dyno

The install is pretty easy the only hard part was removing the 2 hoses connected to the stock inlet pipe. You have to squeeze the grooved sides on the connector and pull up but be careful because it's tight and can easily break.

MST says there's slight performance gains but it's nothing noticable. I only installed the intake for the louder turbo spool which you definitely hear now even with the windows up. I've been lightly tapping the throttle for giggles and to hear WWWhhhhhhhhuuuuuu.....TTTiiiissssssssssss

For performance gains I'm running bm3 Stage 2 AGG 93 and XHP Stage 3. Also have a Dinan axle back and AA Catted Downpipe ( NY inspections &#129324. Probably shouldn't run AGG while I'm still catted but it's been running perfectly for 2 years

Can confirm to you that it does fit. When installing half way thought it wouldn’t fit but seemed like it’s a perfect fit. So If you haven’t already purchased it. I can tell u it’s worth it for the sound alone
