2025 M340i - Custom Build Deals

Hi everyone - I'm looking to close on a 2025 M340i custom build by the end of the year, and have been reaching out to local dealers for quotes.

So far, one dealer quoted 3.7% off MSRP, and another is holding firm at 4.4% off MSRP with 3.99% APR. I've contacted four other dealers in the area with my build code, but haven’t received any quotes from them.

The quotes I've received seem really high compared to what others have shared on bimmerpost and elsewhere (leasehackr, etc). I wasn't expecting a 14% discount off MSRP, but I was hoping to get a better end-of-year deal with a lower APR. I'm guessing custom M340i builds might not be a priority for dealers right now

Would love to hear from others - I'm sure there are much better deals out there. Is shopping around more and/or reaching out to a broker the way to go?

Thanks in advance!

I contacted a three dealers in our area (San Diego county) asking for an 8% discount on MSRP, along with the loyalty rebate. Two responded, and one would only do 6%, but the other had no problem with 8%.

I am looking at an M440i and was shooting for 10% thinking id land at about 8.5 or 9. The two i called were offering 1k and 2k off and wouldnt budge. I am not in a rush - just figured year end they would be more interested in the sale.

Im just waiting until next year and see where things land. My thoughts are that BMW has offered 3.99 interest rate for the last 5 month or so. We have seen fed rates drop a point since then. Im wondering if they will come down further to keep the cars selling.

I recognize these are low production vehicles, so we will see!

It sounds like we're in very similar positions. I guess there are two shopping days left this year, let's see what happens Best of luck with your search!

The availability of discounts vary significantly by location. Your best option may be to find a dealer offering 8% off MSRP and then spend some $$$ on delivery/shipping costs. This is the route I took

Yeah i definitely may go that route. Also not needing to purchase by year end so ill see what incentives look like over the next few months.

The issue really becomes the actual availability of an allocation at this point. Thats the worst part as the incentives only lock for 90 days and it takes 4-6 weeks to get the car if they built it next week. That date becomes a large part of the incentive game.

Anyone have an estimate on timing for a custom order on an M340xi? I can't get a straight answer from my sales guy on how long it would take through the factory. IE. place order to delivery... 2 months? 4 months? 6 months? I'm not asking for anything crazy like custom paint - just normal build time.

Thanks

This build thread has a TON of data on this. When it was ordered and when they got it.

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...115376&page=45

What matters most is whether they have an allocation. If they dont have an allocation with a specific build week (by the way the build week is when it will be FINISHED not started) then they dont have an estimate at all. They need an allocation for this to matter.

This is likely what sales guy's problem is. He doesn't want to come out and tell me that he doesn't have an allocation at the moment. He is trying to close out the year, so I'll bug him again next week and press him on it.

Keep in mind that the sale takes place when the car is picked up from their dealership. He wont get credit this year regardless.

Oh I know. He wanted me to settle and buy a 340 they had on the lot, in order to squeeze it into this year. But for the price, I still couldn't just settle for colors and options I didn't want. Then we talked about ordering, and then he wouldn't give me time frame on how long it would take.

I got about 8-9% off MSRP (including $1k college grad incentive). Although, I have a friend who knows a sales manager there.

I'm also in the market for a new M340i and not in a rush to get one right away. Can you guys share the dealer contacts if you had a good discount like 8-9% off.

I just put an order in for an M340i, late Feb build slot and 8% off MSRP + locked the $1000 incentive from December.
