Talking California JB4 Maps

I recently installed the AA downpipe, Dinan intake, and H&R springs on my 24 M340 that has the MPE.

Wanted to see if anyone in Cali is running JB4 without the Carb-Approved restrictions? Is there a way to run maps other than the one for 91Oct? I don't mind running E85, just don't know what i'd need yet.

Let me know if you have any input!

I'm running almost your same setup with JB4 on a map 6 with +6-7 PSI on E25 mixing with 91. No issues at all and timing is clean. If you're planning to stick with pump gas you'll be limited to map 1, and even then you might get some timing corrections.

Highly recommend the fuel-it flex fuel sensor if you plan on running E85. Makes monitoring super easy.

Thanks. Did you ever try just map1 or map2 on 91?

Leaning towards the fuel-it kit tho, does it matter which kit I get?

B58 + Piggyback (any) + 91 = not the best driving experience

It works perfectly fine. I recently built a car for a friend and using JB4 was his preference. No issues at all when you use the correct map for the fuel.

You 100% will have timing corrections on map 2 with California 91 (sign of knock). Our 91 can barley keep up with the stock tune. I went straight for E85 and never ran anything above map 0 without it.

My only experience is with the fuel it kit. I'm not sure if any others can integrate with the JB4.
