Digital Rearview Mirror
Just did the upgrade myself and hooked up a camera in the back! It has HomeLink garage door opener buttons as the mirror itself came from a different vehicle brand. Also added an alarm LED in the back to not lose the alarm status functionality. I'm loving the feature! BMW really should make this feature a thing, it's quite useful!

It's an OEM mirror sourced from a 2023 Subaru Outback Touring. You can find digital rear view mirrors on eBay for ~$300, but does not include camera, wires and housing which you'd have to source these yourself. Or, if you want a kit for ease and don't mind the lack of HomeLink and compass, you can Google search "GENFDM3LN" and sites to purchase it will show up.

Are you running a wiretap from the rain sensor? I’ve been trying to figure out the best route for my 2025 and was reading a lot of issues with the mirror tap and read passanger fusebox was the way to go..

I've tried it in a rental car and while the concept is good, the reality is not that great. Video is laggy sometimes and quite dangerous in some situations. I ended up flipping the camera up and used the normal mirror. It may be just good as a rear cam recorder though
