It looks extremely fast, the M4 looks way sleeker than the M3!
WHERE ARE THE MANUALS?!

Yes, I'm aware that the G20 and G80 are going to be different cars...but I just got a G20 as a loaner during service - holy shit - it's so big
Too big for a 3 series It honestly feels like driving my parent's E60 5 series...no idea what BMW is thinking |

You have no idea what BMW is thinking? Well, their cars are as big as their competitors, so I don't know what exactly to accuse them of. For everybody else there is the M2.

It’s essentially the same size as the F30/F80 (3.5” longer and .5” Wider).

The E60 is an extremely well packaged car with a lot of ALU in the chassis and in some ways actually feel smaller than the F80. It was design before the pedestrian regulations ruined the forward view by raising the frontal area. The 3 is no longer a compact car but that did not change with the G80. The E90 was borderline mid-size and the F80 move it fully into that category. The G80 seems to be similar to the F80 and will likely feel very similar in size.

The M3/M4s felt very easy to drive...will give it that but I don't like how heavy they feel (while they still hide the excessive weight very well) |

You have to wonder what the world is going to look like when this car is launched. Unfortunately the world economy will likely be mostly ashes and it might take a couple of years after the vaccine is starting to be available some time next year to turn the ashes into new healthy growth.
It seems like the poor G8X will be launched at the very worst time when the depression is in full effect just before the vaccine is predicted to become available. I’ve tried to stay optimistic and take it day by day and I’m currently not worried about my own situation but if I make the math of the economy in general, ouch scary times coming and at that time will anyone including me actually prioritize a new luxury car purchase? Oxford, we’re counting on you to turn this around and prove everyone wrong |

Another vid. Best one yet, for hearing the exhaust....IMO.
One of the mules seems to have a sunroof possibly? Another has something covering the front grilles. Last edited by seis-speed; 05-09-2020 at 10:16 PM.. |

How about some clips where we can hear some downshifts? Everything sounds good moving up but the fun stuff comes before and entering the turns.

Applying your arguments about 'who is the typical customer' for these cars, I can only imagine that this won't be set up for the few people who like the instantaneous shifts of a good DCT, but want to make their own gear choices. e.g. in those videos I don't hear a whole lot of aggressive downshifting under braking, I'm hearing occasional downshifts on the exit of the turn. (e.g. one around 0:35 seconds) |
