Lane Change Warning Failure

Hello everyone,

Please can you help with the error I have been getting on my G21 lately:

When I start the engine, everything is fine (the driver assistance button has a green circle around it), but as soon as I go over 20kmh/13mph, the car beeps and says:

"Support from driver assistance restricted. You can continue driving. Driver assistance permanently restricted. If the problem recurs, have it checked by your Service Partner"

"Affected Systems: Lane Change Warning. Lane change warning failure".

The error manifests itself so that the circle around the driver assistance button turns orange, and the Blind Spot Warning System: Yellow triangles in the mirrors - do not light up, regardless of the situation.

As soon as I stop the car, the circle around the driver assistance button turns green again (which means everything is working again, I guess).

I don't know if the error is somehow related to Bimmercode, since just before the error I turned on 5xblink, start&stop memory and towbar camera view. Or it's just a coincidence. Anyway, I reset the ECUs I was changing to factory settings after that error, but nothing changed.

I tested with Bimmerlink, the system recorded the following errors:

1. D7550D - Signal (status display warning lane change, ID: ST_DISP_WARN_LNCH) invalid

2. D90D0A - Left exterior mirror (LIN): Missing LIN slave

3. CD9763 - Message (RQ_RPM_BAX, 45.1.2 69.3.4, FX) timeout: Message (request rear axle speed) from DSC failed

4. CD9767 - Message (RQ_RPM_FTAX, 45.1.2 69.3.4, FX) timeout: Message (request front axle speed) from DSC failed

5. 0305AC - QDM-QEI - Internal degradation due to SBS

I read somewhere that someone on their X5 solved the same problem by restoring the activation speed of the Blind Spot assistant from 10kmh to 50kmh in the ICM module, but that module does not exist in the Bimmercode for my car.

(ICM, 3000, C_ZSW_Aktivierunggeschwindigkeit_Funktion_low, 10 kmh --> 50 kmh).

Furthermore, I have read that there is a problem with the electronics in the rearview mirror, but when it is a problem, people cannot move the rearview mirrors or fold them, and for me it all works.

Here, I tried to be detailed, I would really like it if someone could help me with their experience or knowledge about this problem.

If your car is under warranty it may make sense to take it to the dealer for diagnostics.

If not, try posting on the coding sub forums. Although I doubt your issue has anything to do with coding.

I’ve read of people having issues with their mirrors if water gets inside. It can fry the modules and cause all types of issues.

The driver assistance issues could also be damage due to a camera or sensor on the car, but it’s all speculation.
