Hi there, before I ask for ESYS, PSdZdata, Launcher, etc. (I have private messages disabled due to the fact that I'm new to this forum). I'm planning to activate Lane Change Assist (LCA) on my German 2020 G20 330e. It has Driving Assistant Professional (S5AU). I've read that LCA is not available in Germany due to government regulations but it is allowed in Spain (where I currently reside). Decoding the VIN in bimmer.work, it shows some codes/options regarding region and Decoding Additional Functions (see attachments)

I've seen 2 different guides to activate LCA (when you of course have the hardware Driving Assistant Professional S5AU and your vehicle production date is after July 2019):
1) Via FDL Coding? https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7&postcount=13
2) Via VO coding by removing 8TR code (it seems that 8TR disables LCA) https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...42&postcount=1

My questions are:
Which one is correct? Do I have to do both? For VO coding, am I fine with just ESYS + PSdZData + ENET Cable and no Launcher needed? Will it surve updates? Will I have problems with warranty?

You do either one.

FDL Coding will not survive updates. VO Coding will survive updates so long as the modified FA is written to car VCM.

Remove 8TR and VO code, you should get the lane change assist. VO coding survives software updates as well.

I had to FDL code my car, as I don't have 8TR but I still don't have LCA, this is because my car is built 02/2020 and the VO code option for LCA only works for cars build after 07/2020. With FDL code I have to reapply after a software update.

Thank you very much for your answer shawnsheridan and robertni. I actually have 2-year BMW Premium Selection Warranty. Should I wait for it to finish? I'm worried that if I VO code the car, they will be able to remove the warranty in the dealership.

Other question is, every single time I create a profile, german is default language. Can I VO Code the Spanish Language/Country to substitute (by removing) the German country/language codes that I have right now?

Coding should not affect Warranty in anyway.

I have no idea what Profile you are referring to.

I mean when you create a new driver profile, everything is in German until you change it. It seems that the car defaults to German for every new driver profile you create. The software release notes in My BMW app is also in German despite the car language being set up as Spanish.

No new software versions being offered on 2021-03. I'll take it to the delearship and let's see if they can force an update.

I installed a complete ambient light kit from Aliexpress and I need to code my car to make it work since I didn't purchase the OBD adapter, I didn't trust it and I would like to do it via bimmer utility, do I need any other data besides the application? Can you suggest me the lines of code to activate?
