Answering my own question, based on looking at the Offers section of the BMW deals site.

Looks like there is only 1K of conquest and for 10K the RV is 60%. Unsure on MF since that's not detailed, but APR for finance is 2.89 which results in a MF 0.00120 (seems far too low). For non MY19 3's, looks like the MF is 0.00188, so perhaps that's a better guesstimate.

36 months is the default standard for BMW unless otherwise specified.

Aren't residuals on a stand alone basis nearly useless? When considering the residual without the money factor, you are only working with half of the equation.

In my experience, with higher residuals, they do less incentives on the money factors. And when residuals come down toward the end of a model year, they incentivize the money factors to balance it.

Perhaps I'm missing something!?

As I understand it, money factors are not permitted to be revealed hence why they are not posted. Since I have no affiliation with BMW, I can tell you that the base money factor across the board is .00188 with the normal possible maximum markup of .0004.

Bmws money factors do not fluctuate wildly month to month and are the same across their model range. However in the last two years they had progressively trended upward. The residuals see more variation during the annual sales cycle as well as incentives

You do need the MF combined with the residual to figure out the exact lease amount but knowing the residual isn't really useless on its own.

This is to replace my wife's '16 X1. I'm leaning toward getting her into the 3, while she's also considering just buying the X1 - she loves the size but I dont like the lack of surround view / etc for her.

Terrible deal.. A very loose rule of thumb is to aim for a monthly payment close to 1% of MSRP.. unless I could get under 550 monthly with 0 down, I would not do it..this is regardless of brand new model or not.. BMW 3 series are dime a dozen, I would just shop around.. but I also understand it depends on how badly and how soon you want to get into a new car..Also, I think base MF is 0.00188 and like the other poster said, it is recommended to go 0 down on leases

You need to work on getting that sale price down. That looks like a lease for a $65k car, not a $50k car.
