I’ve read unconfirmed rumors of Munich auto show but who knows now when the virus is causing cancellations of most such events.

With all auto shows likely to be cancelled this year BMW should just give us that are stuck at home for months in lockdown something to look forward to and analyze, configure and plan to order on the other side. Time to unveil the 4 series fully and the M3/M4, it’s their social duty

Honestly this has been one of the slowest reveals for BMW in a while with only small leaks (no fully exposed vehicles leaked yet annoyingly). Time to rip the band-aid off already and show us the new M3 and 4-Series.

Yeah, no one is going to go to closed room VIP showings, press drives etc. in this situation. There’s just online launch or no launch.

G22 was not officially to be shown at Geneva. But if you had a personal invite you could have viewed the car upstairs in a private suite. Just like the M8 Convertible in 2019 and the M850i in 2018.

The official and original timetable for Launch is still scheduled for June.

Could have sworn I saw a post on here saying it would be shown and I'm 100% certain I saw an article somewhere mentioning it as well. Something along the lines of "The new i4, along with the new 4-series, are both based on blah blah blah and will be shown at the upcoming show in Geneva next week."

Ah well, that might've just been assumptions on the editor of said article's part.
We haven't really gotten any official communication regarding the release date of the new 4.

Gotcha. Bummer, but...hopefully soon! I would think it should come out before the new M4 no? Though with as many leaks as have been seen for the M4 I'm not so sure.

I can't be sure, but I do indeed expect the regular 4 to be released before the M3 and M4.
There was a post of a photo of a meeting at BMW Welt which said the start of communication for the new 4 would be somewhere around June.
So that seems to be the most plausible date at this time.

Forget about it...concept car paint is usually one-off and I heard cost figures around $100k. Lovely color though

Here’s what was said about the beautiful silver that was used for the current 4 series concept car:

“That paint finish, by the way, is a unique mix developed just for this concept. BMW calls it Liquid Metal Silver and says it’s perfect for showing of the 4-Series Coupe’s ideal proportions.”

Note: This is not the same as the pedestrian $10k individual Pure Metal Silver...
