for the first time during our weekend family blast to the holiday pad through bumpy horrible twisty roads - put it it comfort plus

wow it was great! everybody felt much happier. car still made most of the corners.

now if only someone can unlock comfort individual so i can have comfort plus steering and suspension and sport plus engine and transmission

Has anyone tried it with a 320i with adaptive M suspension yet? Does it work there too?

Just tried it out on a 330d with adaptive m suspension and it work. My feeling is that Comfort Plus makes throttle response slower and the car became more soft over bumps and such.

Comfort individual is the grail for me. I can then flip between two optimised setups nice and easily. Is that just a pipe dream though?

Sport Individual is where you can make everything but the engine comfort.

engine can be comfort in Sport Individual. But Sport Individual (at least in my car) allows the rear of the car to slide. I don't want that in winter or when it's heavy rain. Comfort is 100% nanny mode where nothing is allowed to slide.

Is it possible to code the start to Comfort Plus?

To answer my own question.
It´s possible in E-Sys when you know the "werte=" value.
I switched Bimmercode and it works.

Sorry if I'm asking the obvious but I'm still not quite clear on Comfort+ based on the posts above. Is Comfort+ a softer version of Comfort or is it a sportier version of Comfort in the way that Sport+ is a sportier version of Sport?

The reports from those who have coded it, are that it is softer than Comfort, possibly with slightly lighter steering and damped throttle response (but those last two have not been mentioned by everyone).

I will be coding in Comfort+ because of the terrible state of our roads.

Regards, Mike.

I've coded comfort plus on my m340i which has adaptive suspension. Absolutely NO DIFFERENCE.

That's disappointing to hear.

I've got about 2 months to wait until I get my 330i

I'll be coding a couple of things early on - and then I can see / feel for myself. From the 100 mile plus test drive I did, I'll be okay with Comfort mode - but I still hope to get a little more with Comfort+, time will tell.

Regards, Mike.

Darn. I was hoping this would be the solution to give my wife a softer ride. My old F30 was quite comfortable (dare I say Lexus like) in comfort and eco pro but would firm up in Sport and Sport+. I have adaptive suspension and frankly it doesn't seem to be much softer in comfort. I don't mind so much but she's commented a couple of times that she liked the plushness of the ride in the old BMW a little bit better.

Should be softer. BMW use Comfort+ in other models like the F10 5-series. Definitely a softer setting in my 5-series.

Is it really coded to be active? Comfort+ is different (softer) by definition.

Mine was definitely coded entirely and correctly

My suspension is quite stiff regardless of setting to be honest. I was hoping comfort plus would make a difference but for me none!

You can't feel any difference to the damping?

Spring rate will be quite high in the M340i, so softer damping of Comfort+ should have a feeling of being underdamped. Remember as a rough guide, Comfort and Sport damping maps sit each side of the spring rate. Therefore Comfort+ should stand out even more as being softly damped.

I know in my 5-series where the standard damping covers three variable modes, the middle setting is the best balance, as it works more around the spring rate.

To be honest I feel no difference in damping between comfort and sports plus. Maybe something is wrong with my adaptive damping system

Same. No noticeable difference. Coded it a while back but I've opted not to use it. It wasn't intended to be used on our models anyway. Granted, I can't even tell much of a difference between Comfort and Sports on mine.
