Hey guys, looking to get a lease on a new 330e that i will build and order. Is it fair to think I can get 10-12% off MSRP plus the federal tax credit discounted off the lease? Have people had luck with that ordering any PHEVs? Thanks

The G20 330e is a new launch. Getting 10% off will be a task but with covid19, who knows.

Help understanding this deal
This is going to be kind of long so bear with me please.
Back in December I ordered this build with MSRP of $63,035 including destination ($62,040 without destination). This was what the dealer sent and I agreed to before placing the order and providing a deposit. Boils down to a simple $7,500 off MSRP before additional fees. The contract they sent shows a number of errors to my eyes and I just want a sanity check. Section A
Section B
Section 7
It seems like the dealer is trying to charge me a $2,500 cap cost, acquisition, and license/reg fees in cash (combined $1,711.95) AND rolling the acquisition and license/reg fees into the rent charge. Am I missing something? I keep going back and forth on this being a mistake or a "dealer trick". Either way this isn't what I agreed to. Any extra eyes on this would be helpful. |

So I've been shopping around and here is what a dealer quoted me out of state, wanted your guys opinion:
MSRP: $67,470 Discount: $6,000 Rebate: $1000 Adjust Price: $60,470 Acq Fee: $925 Close: $469 Tax: $77 Title: $15 Reg Fee: $40 Balance: $61,996 The monthly payment is $794 with $1000 down to start the build, $794 of which is going to go towards the first month of the lease. I'm still waiting to hear back from a local dealer that is offering me an additional $2k rebate due to my job so if they can match the discount and give me the rebates I may go with the local dealer. |

Why is the $5000 a security deposit? Where is the other $5000 to make up the total $7500 off you were offered? BTW, this is why the standard advice is to not shop for a monthly payment. Understand the deal by asking for the MSRP, selling price before rebates/incentives, applicable rebates/incentives, money factor, and residual. You can calculate the monthly payment on your own with that info.

My question is really why doesn't the cap cost show as $7,500 off MSRP ($63050-7500=$55,550)? It shows $57,243.95. $57,243.95 is exactly $55,550 plus Acquisition ($925) and License/Reg/Doc fees ($768.95) - both of which are due in cash at signing. It seems like they want me to pay in cash for it AND roll it into the lease. |

Yeah that'll do it.
So your goal is base MF and 10% off pre-incentive. If you're motivated enough, it's very doable. You may need to involve multiple dealerships (like 3+) to make it happen.

When they originally offered you $7,500 off MSRP did you ask for the breakdown in terms of incentives, rebates, and dealer contribution/discount? Because right now, this looks like a terrible deal with $0 dealer contribution and only $2,500 of rebates/incentives off the MSRP.

So they aren't honoring the 7500 off MSRP they originally promised you? That's not right.

I get that I pay a small tax on the incentives, but I'm not trying to bleed anyone. The total discount is $7,500 (minus 50 in taxed incentives so $7,450). However it's tabulated, the final price is something I am comfortable with - effectively 12% (or $7500) off on an ordered vehicle. |

edit: I see the confusion now. The MSRP is 63k not 58k. Typical shady dealer offer sheet that doesn't even have the MSRP on the offer sheet, that's just sad. So in summary, you have a 63k MSRP that they're selling to you for 55.5k. 5k of that comes from a discount, 2.5k of that comes from rebates/incentives. On top of that, you're paying a 4200 refundable deposit (I assume this is 7 MSDs to get the MF down). Finally, you're writing them a check for $6573 on day 1? $4200 of this is a refundable deposit so the rest should be acq. fee, doc fee (dang that's high!), and DMV fees.
