Back is a little better but I still like the F30 better. |

The exterior styling of the G20 is fine, but it doesn't wow me. The interior I don't really like at this point, all the angles and shit aren't my style. If the car's dynamics have improved that'll be a plus, a big plus for the BMW. If the wind/road noise are down that would also be a plus. Critical point for me? Still have to deal with a crappy dealer...otherwise another BMW would be likely.

Phew! The exterior design did not elicit the same (negative) feelings in me as the new 5 series did! I think it looks pretty decent on the outside but I think the interior and tech are great! Will have to see how the packages are optioned and what the final price is to be able to get some of the newer tech options. Also, once I see it on the road, I will know immediately if it is something I want. That said, I plan to stay with my F30 for another 4 years or so.

For me personally I almost held off on my m3 because I knew the new style would roll over soon, but with the g80 still years away I’m perfectly content - if the new g80 looks great I’m not going to put it down because I have an f80. I’ll just get the g80. People are alllwed to like older design cues. |

1. it's so sad that there's no distinctive character in each class (3, 5 , 7 series), it looks more like a small, medium large size of the same car. But we can't really blame BMW for this, this is how auto industry's been going into, from Audi, MB to even Lexus and Acura, sharing platform + mechanicals to save cost.
2. I always thought that E90's double hump (idrive screen) was actually more useful and comfortable to my eyes when driving daily when compared to F30's ipad installment. Funny how BMW is going back to the "double hump" design. 3. It's incredible how cars just continue to get bigger and bigger despite its weight loss. I honestly think E46 and E90 sedans were the perfect, 4/5 passenger sport sedan size that is good enough to carry family and friends but can totally throw it in track for dynamic driving. 4. BMWs gotta start hiring new designers for wheels...come on guys, seriously.. After all, when comparing the segment rivals, i think this new 3 series looks BEST, amazing design in and out. Oh, and thank GOD it has real exhaust tips... Some people argue about BMW's boring interior design. Well, welcome to BMW world. If you look carefully, BMW keeps a very similar architecture of interior design for yrs and many generations. Even the little switch/button placement + design, if you compare to E46, E90 and F30, they are very similar, which makes the car more classy over the yrs rather than changing in and out completely every yr like GM does.

5.6 seconds is slower than the outgoing car despite being lighter and more power. Or maybe it's the unsprung weight that's lighter but the car overall is heavier so modest power increase not enough to cope with weight gain.

It does look like they've got inspired by other cars, but the things I like the least are the headlights/bumper which seems similar to a Peugeot

The price hasn't come down instead G20's price probably went up compared to F30 German general assembly worker makes more than Mexican one. BMW is making more $$$ and not passing the savings on to me. And that's besides the emotional factors of perceived quality, prestige, blah blah blah etc. |
