G20 320i Stock exhaust sound
Hi guys,
I currently have a 320i G20, no mods or anything no sport+. Is there a way I can get better sound out the stock exhaust, for example by manual shift using the pedals or are there any trick to get the best sound out without changing the exhaust/removing filters such as sport mode then manual shift etc? I wanted to exhaust all stock options (pun intended) and tricks first before doing mods. Thanks in advance |

You can code in Sport Plus using Bimmercode/Bimmerutility etc. which will give you more aggressive shifting and (allegedly) more exhaust noise. There's a few threads about whether it does actually change exhaust sounds that much e.g. https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=29441080

It's easily reversible as it's just changing a flag to on/off in most cases. Bimmercode also takes backups before you make any changes that you can then use to restore.

Nice one, is there any mods for performance you would suggest for a 320i I’m not bothered with the tech changes just more on seeing how much the car can change via this after sports plus is included valve disabled etc. Also is there an OBD you recommend?

I have no recommendations for mods cos I'm not that bothered by performance. As to OBD I would get an ENET one, it's a lot faster than Bluetooth or Wifi. I just bought some no-name one off Amazon and an ethernet to Lightning adapter for my phone.
