I bought a cheap silicone key cover, managed to order the one for the previous key style, that looked the similar in the photo.

It wasn't a perfect fit. So while I waited for the correct one to arrive I cut into the ill-fitting one to make it go onto the key and give some temporary protection.

A few days later the key slipped out my picket, dropped onto the rough tiles, and landed exactly on the spot I'd cut open to make it fit. So my new key a had a dent and a scratch.

And it protects your $500 key 100%

Ok it's $90 but well worth it 😄

Just got news my 330e is officially built, supposedly 2-3 weeks before it's on the boat...

Anyone able to tell me how long it took from on the boat to their car arriving in Melbourne and how long until it was ready for delivery?

I'll be hassling my salesperson for the ship name once it's shipped!

Hi there @ryanm7, congrats. I can give some approximate times as I didn't get onto tracking my car till it was on the boat (dealer slow with info)

My 330e has a build date of 12th Feb. It had been on the boat a few days by the time I got my VIN and tracked it. That was the start of March. At the time, the expected arrival in Melbourne was 25 April.

It had two stops (South Africa and WA) before Melb. Some delays, it finally arrived on about 3rd May.

Got to the dealership around the 15th, I picked it up on the 22nd Of May.

Thanks!! My estimates is probably receiving my car at the end of August based on that information, fingers crossed COVID19 has eased up by then.

Have you decided on coating yet? I left my booking a bit late and couldn't get into my preferred place in a timely manner.

This is my new "M Sport" key cover to replace the badly fitted silicone one. AUD $7.35 from AliExpress.
