It’s very easy to tell if they are. They should provide the numbers or a leasehackr site quote.

I personally haven’t seen any brokers marking up the money factor and if they are just find another one. They’re all in competition for business.

My buyout is 38k I only have 21k miles but after you add in extended warranty and maintenance it's an additional 10.5k on top of the buyout so over 5 years which is the max you can bring it to my monthly payment would be high 9s. Does anybody know in New Jersey if I can get a deal at least close to what I'm paying now with the same terms?
I work at a dealership in the U.S. and run into this all of the time. Part of the reason is obviously a price increase on a new vehicle. Then there is availability of that vehicle. M340's and M440's aren't around like they were pre-covid and they are considered pretty desirable as they are comparable in performance to the previous gen M cars so there are not many incentives and if you do get a discount it likely won't be enough to make a huge difference in payment.

Then there is the fact that interest rates are way up compared to what they were which of course carries over into the money factor on a lease as well. You're going to have a very difficult time trying to replicate payments from 3 years ago with payments today on a comparable car.

I'd recommend buying it out and enjoying it till rates come back to earth if you are trying to get close to that payment. You can't even get below 700 on a pretty base X3 with 3k out of pocket right now.

Yeah I was crunching some numbers and even if I financed the 38 it would be somewhere in the sevens the payment for 60 months my warranty expires next year and to add the Platinum warranty from BMWs another $6,500 plus another four grand for the maintenance if I wanted to keep that so far over the past week I just been really thinking what I'm going to do so I have 4950 in equity right now and with all the rebates Jeep is giving and tax credits for the 4xe I found a decent deal paying $10 less than I'm paying now with my equity and another 1K in for 39 months I think I'm going to end up just doing that and cross my fingers that one day I can come back to a BMW. It's just a warranty or out of warranty which scares me

I leased mine 4 months ago. Compared to mine your quote is much higher. 4k down including 1st months payment, so technically 3200$ down. If I did the math right MF is 0.0018

I used Autocompanion too and he was great. We had to talk on the phone a bit due a timing issue on my end. Was very patient and things went very smoothly once I wrapped up my situation; the deal was done within minutes.

The timing issue was me canceling a deposit order from another dealer as they didn't have an allocation.

Curious what people are seeing for pricing in NY region (I'm in Westchester County)

Have a rough quote from a dealer for a '23 M340xi
MSRP: $64,630 MSRP
Lease Term: 36 Months
Lease Miles: 10k
Money Down: $0 other than whatever is required
Included Equity (from trade-in): $4,176

Lease Payment is $1,038.09. This is before negotiation but curious what leverage folks think I have? I'd love to get below $900 payment but that seems unrealistic. Is $900 flat possible? $950?

Don't have the MF or residual handy as I don't have a full price quote yet.

Jesus, with numbers like that, you're definitely better off buying than leasing.

Yea that's not a good deal especially since they're taking $4k in equity.

My 2023 msrp was similar and my payment was $830+tax. MF of .00165, residual 57% for 36/10k and invoice (6% discount) with 0 down. Just first month+registration at signing.

But an M3/M4 is $1200-$1300 now. So...it is what it is...

When did that deal happen? Also I see you are in NorCal - dealers much more competitive there?

beginning of this month! But yes, i think norcal/socal dealers seem to have quite a bit more allocations it seems. Was no issue getting an order in.

Hi guys, anyone has updated lease rates for MY23 330i with MSRP around $52k?
I'm in Cali. Trying to compare to Audi. Looks like they have good rates these days. For an A4 Prestige trim at $55k MSRP, they're giving $5k off (plus $1k Costco member discount), so for a 36 month lease with 10k miles per year and $4k down, monthly payment comes to $597 a month (including tax & fees). I can probably talk them down to $550 per month. Does BMW have comparable discounts and rates these days?

BMW not quite as good. I got quote for $51k car $2k down + $1k BMW loyalty comes out $725 including tax & fee. That's the same 36/10 term. There's about $2,300 discount from MSRP.

I'm also shopping Audi but particularly in Allroad. They aren't discounting them like regular A4 so the monthly actually being higher than the 330i, but more expensive than the 330i tho ($57k msrp).

Not sure about A4 but Audi has higher money factor and higher residual than BMW. I guess it depends on the discount you get but I rather pay for a term that has lower residual value and lower interest rate but higher payment vs higher residual and higher interest rate so I'm not upside down too much into the lease.

Thanks. I just custom built a 330i with 51,325 MSRP. The dealer is giving me 3k discount so the monthly payment is $660 including tax and fees for a 36/10 term with 4k down.
For comparison, Audi A4 Premium Plus can be leased for $538 and Prestige for $590 with the same terms.
I like the Bimmer better, but have to pay more and wait a month or two to get it. So I haven't decided yet.

Best to compare the residual and money factor between them. Also, if you’re just leasing it, the Premium Plus trim should have slightly better residual than Prestige. I don’t see the Prestige is worth the difference imo. If you can get more discount off the bat that’s a plus. I still can’t decide which is better (for the wife) but I like the 330i dynamics better than the Audi. Thanks for the 3k off info. I’ll see if the dealer is willing to match it.

It’s crazy my 2021 M340 it was loaded every everything and the MPE 72k msrp die at signing was taxes and fees. $660 monthly. I remember I could of leased a M4 for 700$ a month but living in NYC and it was going to be a daily I wanted AWD so I stuck with the M340. Now due to the prices it makes no sense for me to even entertain that price tag for a M340. If I’m pay $1,000+ I’m get a M car. I do have a M3 comp on order leasing numbers right now it’s 1,500 for my build. I’m finance it instead. Which will cost me about $1,250 monthly. Crazy how times have changed.

$900 vs $1500 for leasing an M340 vs M3 is pretty significant, and I wouldn't blame someone for choosing the M340. For $1500, you're also close to 911 lease pricing too, if i was spending $1500...i would be looking at Porsches. So...it's an ever increasing ladder lol

That is true too however a 911 is not as practical as a M3. At least for me going from paying $660 to $900-$1000 for a LCI. I rather spend the extra $ and get a full blown M car however even tho it’s is a substantial jump in price. If it was really about leasing pricing the best open would be getting 540

Ordered an M340, is there any room to negotiate?

Hi there, long-time lurker, first-time poster.

To make a long story short, my beloved 2020 M340 was totaled when I was hit sitting at a stop sign. That was Dec 25 and after dealing with the at-fault driver's insurance for over a month, I placed an order for a 2023 M340i XDrive with pretty much the same feature set as my old one. The MSRP with the destination fee is $69,870.

This is my third BMW and the second one I bought from this particular dealer. They are giving me $300 off MSRP as a loyal dealer customer and the BMW-funded $750 loyalty incentive. That's it.

I ordered the car on Feb 3, and it finally reached the dealership this week. Do I have any leverage to get a better deal, or is this a good deal given the new car buying climate? It is definitely not a buyer's market.

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or recommendations you may have.
