An m340i with adaptive m on non rf is similar to a 330i with rf. That's my opinion.

OK, I will definitely give the non-run flats a try. Any suggestions?

FWIW i prefer the BMW adaptive suspension.
for my driving style i found the Audi adaptive suspension too bouncy, throwing the car off balance when blasting through uneven roads

Good luck getting those. It's been on back order for a minute now. I had a flat in November; I had to wait till end of December to get a replacement. I contacted at least 15 dealers during that time - in the end I just had to wait.

P.S: you could buy the regular PS4S from a tire shop if you don't mind it. The one built for BMW has a star logo but you won't find that any where outside the dealer.

I’m in NYC and drive all over the 5 boroughs.
It’s the shit streets. Period.
Switch to non run flats. That will help.
I have 19” staggered set up.
19’s will always be harsher in NYC streets.
Also have adaptive. Even in comfort, it still
can be rough.

jg4c - agree with that! just wish I could transplant the 330 suspension into the 340. the 330 with stock Bridgestone run flats somehow absorbs the bumps so much better. but still, wouldn't give up the car for anything right now.

Does the 330 run 18’s with a 45 sidewall?
That could make a big difference.

yes - the 330 she has has the 18s Bridgestone Run Flat
The 340 suspension - with m aadaptive - is definitely a great setup as the car is very planted and solid, but with the roads here in NYC it feels like a boxing match whenever I hit a bump - no matter what setting the m adaptive is in

Tires get like rocks.

Agree. Or if you are in a colder state with snow and need All Season, get their Pilot Sport AS tires. That's what I drive.

I came from Audi A4 8.5 with B&O to the F30 HK (that was pretty good (more base), G20 HK seems much weaker all around. I'm not a fan of it after 1 year. HK in BMW doesn't even compare to B&O in Audi's IMO.

This I heartily agree with.

The singular thing I liked about my short time with a SQ5 was the B&O system. Totally worth the ridiculous price tag.

It sounded beautiful.

Has anyone changed any of the HK stereo components (speakers, amp, etc.) to improve sound quality?

Agree with comments about checking the HK Amp in your car....known problem....my 2020 340i sound was not nearly as good as the 2017 M2 that I traded but I lived with it for a year until I got my 440 convertible and the HK in this car is "night and day" better....

I have non run flat 225/45R18 Blizzaks on my M340i with adaptive suspension and it's so damn bouncy. I feel like I get motion sickness from it sometimes lol. The computer says to have the pressure at 36F/39R and it's too high so I had to lower it down a tad.

I test drove two 330i before ordering an m340xi. The one with the M Sport suspension had a much harsher ride than the one without it. If your GF's car doesn't have the m sport suspension that would explain it.

springerdrive - she has the new 330I with x drive and the standard suspension - car rides beautifully over the bumps and road imperfections - with much less impact from potholes than the 340 - but her 330 is not nearly as planted as my 340 with adaptive.
