Looks like I'm getting a 2023 M340i

I ordered my M340i xDrive in late April. My SA contacted my on Friday and said it looks like this will be a 2023 model now. What do you guys think about iDrive 8? Couldn't find to much more about body style changes.

not 100% that these are what the m340i will look like since it's chinese leaks but they all have a M badge on the side... personally not a fan of idrive8 from what I've seen but I'm sure I would get used to it

Between inflation and parts shortages, plus the excuse of a LCI, I’m fearful the price for an M340 will escalate more then a standard couple percent for MY23. This train of thought drove me to order my 2022. What pricing information has he or she given you?

2023 G26 pricing is on bmwusa.com and there is a standard increase nothing like your prediction.

Along with iDrive 8, don’t we also think that the 2023 3 series are all going to get the same all-in-one curved dashboard that is in the i4? I know I saw that somewhere here on the forums. Not sure what I think of that yet either.

Personally, I’d start shopping for a low mileage pre-LCI. Notwithstanding the exterior, they have ruined the dash and I will NOT buy an LCI.

I opted for a 22'. I'm not a fan of the ipad dash, lack of A/C controls and deletion of the shift lever. The body changes are OK I guess, but I prefer the more subtle styling of the pre LCI. Course' these are nothing more than my opinion, and we all know what they say about opinions. I'd imagine if you were a little flexible, there is still probably a few 22's to be had out there.

Same stuff with every update from BMW and after a while, we all love it and the looks and style last for a long time (unlike overdesigned Japanese cars…)

“iPad afterthought display” with iDrive 6 was hated initially, we all learned to love it and other car companies adopted it.
G20 tail lights ruined BMW tradition, today, we love the rear end of the cars…
“The big grill”…”I am never going to buy one”. The G8x are selling like hot cakes. Heck, I am on my way now to pick up my daughters new G26 and I am loving the look of it!
And now the iDrive 8…

BMW has done it again and they’ll do just fine. And to make it even better, their inside and outside design will outlast any Lexus curves or latest Supra madness…

I really don't think the new rear bumper is going to age well, it's a better example of "overdesigned japanese cars" then actual overdesigned japanese cars, half the bumper is a fake diffuser lmao

On the M-sport package.
How’s that different from previous M-sport packages fake diffusers?
A bit bigger?

had the same thing happen to me, i just picked up a m340i rwd instead because i hate the idrive8 and the LCI refresh.

The other scary thing was if there was going to be a price increase on the 23 MY. In the UK, prices went up by 10% and in india roughly 3-4%. I wouldn't be surprised if the US had some price changes as well.
