Anyone in San Antonio?
Just realized I'd been posting in the F30 regional southwest forum lol. I'd incorrectly assumed the regional forum would include all models.
*edit* just saw SpaceGhost is in SA. Any of you folks in SA go to Cars & Coffee? |

I'm in SA. Er stationed in Del Rio but go to San Antonio pretty much every weekend. Car is currently in the shop getting some warranty stuff worked on but hopefully I'll have it back soon. I go to C&C with the Subaru group since that's what I'm coming from and am still friends with a lot of them. Eurotic is the big European car group in San Antonio and there are a lot of BMW owners in it. Look them up on Facebook if that's your thing. Haven't gone to a meet with them but they seem pretty cool. I'll post up the C&C info when I get some time to find it.

Hey Space! It's at Oak Hills church. It's across highway from where it was at Lowe's @ The Rim. It's also this Saturday... 2nd Sat of every month.
And yes, just started at Xpel coming up on 4 months. I set up a pop up and give away Starbucks. Retirement job for me. I've also talked to a couple guys about starting a M club. I've an M3 on order and will be doing Euro delivery. Mineral Grey with Cohiba. If you guys have time this Sat come out to C&C Sat. I should be there from 0745-1000hrs. *sorry for the run-on sentences...was trying to be brief while in car on phone...not driving! Last edited by wcw; 08-05-2015 at 04:49 PM.. |

Ugh...can't make it as I am working both days this weekend. Perhaps next month. The M club sounds interesting, although the idea of being in a club of some sort in my mid-forties seems weird..... Would we have a clubhouse and a secret handshake? ha ha
WCW are you retired military by chance? Apollo, I have been to Laughlin on a couple of occasions...I can see why you drive to San Antonio on the weekends. UPT? |

Fantastic idea! Although I'd feel like more a 'part of the M world' if I at least had a VIN! Hoping I hear something soon. On another note and due to my new occupation I've met the following owners of these makes; '15 M3, '11 1M and '15 M4. All 3 expressed an interest in meeting up.

Sounds like a plan. My schedule is unpredictable. But I am sure we can find a time.
Black335i...you are, of course, welcome to join in! Sounds like WCW and I are the grandpas of the bunch so far (no offense, wcw) Apollo...we can share our takes on the paradise that is Laughlin..ha ha |

Lol! "grandpa". And heck no to any offense taken. Trust me, after 11yrs in the USAFR and a little over 20 on the PD, if you don't have thick skin you're toast! Also, I myself have been a few times to the altitude chamber down there at Laughlin.
You guys want to pick a lunch spot in the Hill Country or near Boerne, Sat or Sun work better? Edit: actually how about a place with a large parking lot and not too noisy so we can talk. OR, instead of lunch meet justified coffee? Last edited by wcw; 08-14-2015 at 12:27 PM.. |

Looks like we have the makings of a group. Let me take a look at my work schedule and see if I can toss up some proposed dates for folks to get together. I work a mix of weekdays and weekends so it may be a bit more difficult for me vs some Monday to Friday folks. Maybe I will start a shift workers sub group that meets during the week...ha ha

Hey Space. I've gotten to know Jr///M4 through my employment at Xpel and he knows a handful of other M owners etc. that also would like to join us. I'm going to feel like a goofy goober showing up in something other than my car to be, but perhaps I'll print out a picture and post it on my t-shirt lol See if you can swing a Sat or Sun within the next month and let's plan an initial meet up spot. I'd say breakfast, lunch or coffee. Just need to select somewhere with a big enough parking lot we can gather up and have plenty of space.
If I'd my car already I know of a handful of places in the Hill Country as well as "tighten up your seat belts/side bolsters roads to get there" routes. Anybody responding on this list done the Euro delivery? |

Ok, so I was up at the dealership today and spoke with my CA about my Euro delivery date (Sept 23) as well as the sales manager about BMW supporting a club. They're all for it and look forward to how and what they can do to back us. That's a great start!
