Parking Brake Malfunction Error
I started to get this warning if i press and enable the park brake
the yellow warning and i look at the codes and looks like they are: 480A53 DSC: Parking Brake (EMF), Button Faulty 4809AB DSC: Undervoltage in Vehicle 480A51 DSC: Parking Brake (EMF) , Brake Cannot be Applied. See attached. What maybe the cause here? The Push up/down park brake button switch? 2017 Bmw X5 F15 Thanks for any advice on this. Regards,

The EMF switch can be changed quickly and is not super expensive. The EMF module in the E70 had its own set of issues where the motor for the worm gear that yanked on the brake cables would die. Lets hope is not that, as that was over $1000

Looks that i think i manage to get it fixed.
I took a look at the batteries before i started throwing $ at park brake switch and other. Tested the voltage at front under neat the hood positive and negative and for some reason i had voltage but was not passing under load (cca), so then i decided to go in the truck and found that my x5 has 2 batteries. Disconnected both so i can do a test on each separate, and found that the smaller 570cca battery was at 11.31v and was about 50% gone cca load. (tester said to replace battery) The other battery the main one tested fine. Done more reading and the smaller battery has to do with DSC and other accessories witch that maybe why i getting some warnings on the park brake as long with code 4809AB for under voltage. Purchased a CTEK 4.3 Battery Charger (the same charger Bmw dealer is using and selling) , and re-charged the small 570cca battery to fullest (looks like it was about 6 hours) and also charged the main battery too to fullest, tested the small battery and now it did pass the test and also load is at 560cca. So at this time i have installed both batteries back in the x5, i did run the x5 for 30,40 minutes in the garage, added some air in the left rear tire as it got under the limit psi, and warning came on, drove it to clear light and all green now. Now, at this time i put my scanner back on the x5, and from the 3 codes that i had before i was left with one: 4809AB DSC, Undervoltage in Vehicle. Do some more reading about the code, and looks like is because x5 was around 11v and that code will pop up. I did clear the code manually and right now i have no error codes on the scanner. I have drove the x5 about 4-5 miles and still no errors or codes came back. I have tested ones the park brake and looks that it works fine now! Hopefully stays that way. Thanks for help and advice.

Looks like the battery voltage is really important in this x5's to be within range, otherwise problems arise.
I only drove about 52 miles and all good, none in obd scanner memory as of right now, park works fine too.
